A ser lançado em meados de Março, SEGA Superstars Tennis é um jogo que junta várias personagens oriundas da SEGA numa competição de....ténis, caso não tenham reparado no nome

Vamos ter assim Sonic, NiGHTS, Tails, Robotnik, Ulala e companhia, mais algumas personagens secretas, a jogar partidas de ténis em cenários retirados de jogos da SEGA.No total, serão 16 personagens, das quais 6 disponíveis desde o início, 10 campos, com 4 disponíveis desde o início, 8 mini-jogos e músicas desbloqueáveis.

O jogo está a ser desenvolvido para Wii, XBox 360, PlayStation 3, DS e PS2.

Claro que para a Wii a jogabilidade não vai ter comparação possível! Vai ser uma espécie de wii sports com personagens mais giras e cenários mais completos. Mas a diversão vai ser muito semelhante. Consolas sem wiimote (O RESTO) ou sem stylus... não terão metade da diversão...

Estou mais à espera que seja antes uma espécia de Virtua Tennis, com os controlos de Wii Remote e com personagens da SEGA - afinal, o Virtua Tennis é apenas a melhor série de jogos de ténis que existe e adaptá-lo ao Wii Remote seria excelente.

Espero é que essa adaptação seja boa porque, por exemplo, no rockstar table tennis essa adaptação deixa um bocado a desejar...

Eu devo ser a unica pessoa que acha estes jogos tristes. Acho que é um cash-in na popularidade do Mario Tennis, que já por si não é nada de especial e é um cash-in em si.

Predictably, Sega Superstars Tennis does not play with quite the same level of finesse. Of the three control methods the game offers, Standard is the one most newcomers will opt for - just using the standalone Wiimote for aim and power - but it doesn't feel quite as responsive as it should be, and the use of the A and B buttons rather than your wrist to play different kinds of shots will feel like a step back.

Alternatively, you can play with the nunchuck attached, which gives you control over the character as well, or with "traditional" controls - and all of these options, it should be said, work equally well. While they aren't quite as intuitive as Wii Sports, the controls are still pretty good - its use of the buttons make it feel much more like a traditional game, but given that it's a port, it's easily forgivable.

The inclusion of special moves for each character (pressing A+B together instigates a quick "power-up" cutscene before imbuing them with a fancy tennis move for a few shots) will definitely grate with some, but doesn't feel as intrusive or as irritating as it probably should do.
